Time Is Running Out

By Kathy Clark

There Is Only One Answer

After listening to the news last night I went away totally discouraged. This morning clarity came while in prayer. It does not matter if Mitt, or Barak, is up or down, it does not matter what the polls say, it matters what God says. We are looking to politics to fix what is broken, it never can. Only God can. We are looking for a new heaven and earth wherein dwells godliness and purity. Even so come Lord Jesus.

2 Pe 3:13   Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

We should not be surprise at the condition of this earth, the church has failed to be salt and light, we have failed to seek His face days without end. We have walked like this earth was our home, we don't want to part with it, we have become too comfortable to want to leave. And we just might get our hearts desire. Now is the time to prayerfully assess where our priorities really lie. Where is our treasure?

We as christians are asking the wrong questions, will it be Obama or Romney? It matters not, the battle is much higher up than either of these two men can climb to. The battle is in the heavenlies. It is a battle of principalities and powers in high places. Our fight is not at the ballot boxes but in the prayer closet. We say we are grieved over the condition of the USA, but what are we doing about it. Do we interrupt or regular habits? Do we fast and pray and wait on the Lord to intervene. Why would He intervene for those who are not 100% His, but fence sitters? We don't like what is happening, but do nothing.

The ball is in our court. What will we do? Anything? Nothing? Maybe a prayer meeting or two? Where do we really stand. How important is the Kingdom to us really? Do we really believe and practice the fact that this planet is not our home? Do we really care about all the lost? Really? Or do we like our ball games, video games, ipads, church socials, family outings, etc. etc. etc...... too much to interrupt our lifestyle as we know it. We are so comfortable, until it all falls apart, hey? Isn't that the same as the Israel of the old testament? They loved this life until it got difficult. We sit back and grumble about viagra commercials, trashy shows, etc....... but we don't turn the TV off and get on our knees do we, hey, we worked all day and we are just plain tired. Well there you have it, we are all about me. My comfort, my rest, my dinner, my this, my that, (we hold too much of ourselves for ourselves - borrowed from a Billye Brim video). We really would like someone else to carry the
burden, after all there are called intercessors out there who really need to do something.

I am telling you this world is going to hell in a handbag, and we are just too busy to care. This country is falling apart at the seams, but don't interrupt my leisure with these things. Barak or Mitt can not fix it. Sin has been eroding the fabric of our society for generations and one president or another will not fix it. I am not saying don't vote. I intend to. But don't expect that to make the difference. There is only one answer:

2 Chron 7:14   If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

This may just be me, I am not saying a thus saith the Lord, but this comes to mind, in 1948 Israel became a nation, the word says this generation shall not pass away until all these things be fulfilled. A generation is considered 70 years, that would bring us down to 2018. Just my thought. Here is the word:

Mat 24:32-34 ¶ Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer [is] nigh:  So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, [even] at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Psa 90:10   The days of our years [are] threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength [they be] fourscore years, yet [is] their strength labour and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.

2 Pet 3:10-18 ¶ But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.  [Seeing] then [that] all these things shall be dissolved, what manner [of persons] ought ye to be in [all] holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. And account [that] the longsuffering of our Lord [is] salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all [his] epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as [they do] also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know [these things] before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen.

As I sat an watched the news last night I was discouraged by the foolishness of man, and his inability to speak wisely, but then there is only one wise one, the Lord Jesus Christ. It is only as He fills our mouth that we have any wisdom, so why would I expect men without Jesus to speak wisely? They can't, you might say they know God, well you will know them by their fruit. However God can give us leaders that will allow us to live peaceful lives that allow us the freedom to worship Him. This is being threatened my brothers and sisters. We need to shut off the TVs, get on God' time-table, and know that this planet is not our home. Get in, or get out, that is the word going forth. This age is wrapping up, the fig tree put on growth in 1948, the day is at hand, what are we doing on our watch? We better start acting like our treasure is in heaven and win as many as we can to the way.

We need to return to our first love, do you remember it? When all you wanted to do was read your bible, pray, and witness? Do you remember, really remember the excitement you experienced? I do. I want it back, now, not another day when I am less tired, it won't ever come.

2 Cor 6:1-2 ¶ We then, [as] workers together [with him], beseech [you] also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.  (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now [is] the accepted time; behold, now [is] the day of salvation.)

I don't want to be a doomsday person, but the church has become a stench in the nostrils of the world, why, not because we are so holy, but because we are too much like them. They know our fakery, and lies, our ugly tempers, and bad manners, our lack of love, and selfishness. Is that what the first church looked like. I don't thinks so. They walked in love and layed their lives down for what they believed, and turned the world up-side-down. It is time we become salt and light once again. We can't create it in ourselves but we have the Creator living in us, more than willing to manifest His life through us if we really desire to forsake all and follow Him. This is the only thing that will impact our world, christians without guile and hipocracy. God help us to lift Jesus up that all men might be drawn unto Him before it is too late.

Rom 13:11 ¶ And that, knowing the time, that now [it is] high time to awake out of sleep: for now [is] our salvation nearer than when we believed.  The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof].

2 Tim 2:1-5 ¶ Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.  And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also. Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of [this] life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier. And if a man also strive for masteries, [yet] is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.

Mat 6:19-21 ¶ Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:  But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

It is time we decide if we are really 100% His. If He tells us to leave everything and go to the Amazon, the Sudan, or Brussells,  what will our response be? What excuse will hold us back. We just got married, we have too many of the worlds good, somebody might break in and steal, I want to see my kids graduate from a good school. All these things are great if God isn't calling us, but what if He does, are we willing to forsake all and follow Him. If not, we are not 100% His, and we cannot receive the fulness of His Spirit. We are sidelined, sitting on the fence. We are called to forsake all, take up our cross and follow where the Shepherd leads. Will we? Or do we plot our own course?
We cannot effect our world around us if we are only half God' property. Only 100% will cut it. But remember this world is not our home, so why do we cling to it so? Are you ready for the Lord' return? Or do you want to see the kids married, etc....... Now is the time to sell out to Jesus before it is too late, our empty vessels making us go shopping when others more wise enter in. We need to weep between the porch and altar. We need to get real. We need for stop loving the things we own so much, they are just on loan anyway. Where is our heart, that is the question. Do we want Mitt or Barak to make it better, they can't, only Jesus can make all things work out for our good. Only Jesus can give us a real mansion, and a feast. Get on with it my friends.

Matt 25:1-12 ¶ Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.  And five of themwere wise, and five [were] foolish. They that [were] foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, [Not so]; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

Consider the day of visitation.

There is a downhill slide in the USA, and around the world, but just this morning God brought to my rememberence Isaiah 60, arise shine the glory of the Lord is risen upon you, darkness is covering the earth , and deep darkness the peoples, but the glory of the Lord is risen upon His people. (my paraphrase)

There is call going out throughout the earth to the people of God, either get in or get out. Are we going to continue to "hold too much of ourself for ourselves?" or are we going to forsake all and follow Him.

The entire globe is covered with evil, darkness, shedding of innocent blood and it cries out to Him. He is calling His church to war. He is calling His church to lay everything down and follow the Dread Champion into battle.

Will we forsake all? What if He asks us to sell our house and live in a camper, some are doing this already, what if he calls us to empty our bank accounts and give it the poor, are we willing, what if he tells us that two shirts are too much, will we give the other to someone with none? Will we really, or do we just give what we don't need? Time to really take a look a how much we really mean it when we call Him Lord, when we say our lives are not our own, do we really mean it? Time to find out now, and see if we are willing to pay the price.

You think it's bad now, just wait, it is going to get much darker before the light totally dispells the darkness, Jesus told us this and said don't be surprised by it. We are called to war. Every place we place our foot has been given unto us, do we take it, or are we full of fear, wanting to be politically correct so we don't offend anybody, or make waves. Well when the people of God become biblically correct it will cost many of us our lives. It has always been thus.

I feel the atmospere charged for battle. There is a company strapping on their armor, with their ears attuned to the Battle Commander. Looking for His slightest nodd, or movement. This is the most exciting time to be alive. We have been called into the kingdom for such a time as this. Even so come Lord Jesus. Your bride is making herself ready, wash off the filth from the daughters of Zion. Watch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Thank you, my friend, for speaking truth ... for holding up a light in the darkness. May we take heed to the exhortation and warning you have faithfully brought to the readers. All for Jesus should be our song. Few faithful ones remain. I am so thankful that you are one of them!!! Sandi

  3. Kathy, It seems as if you are writing exactly what's in my heart. I have been thinking of writing a similar blog post. Reading what you've written encourages me because it lets me know I'm not the only one carrying around a burden for God's people right now. Keep writing, and I will too. Brandy
